The patient moved to St. Louis 4 years ago and was stable until he presented with right flank
pain 3 years ago. His medications at the time of his visit to the stone center included
mesalamine and loperamide. His family history was notable only for a brother with
cystinuria. He did not drink alcohol except socially on occasion; he smoked one pack of
