New perspectives on immunointervention in autoimmune diseases

The currently available treatments for autoimmune diseases were not developed with a clear
knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the primum movens of the disease process,
namely the activation of autoreactive T cells. A new generation of immunosuppressive
