This review explores current information on the interrelationship between phospholipid
biochemistry and cell biology. Phosphatidylcholine is the most abundant phospholipid and it
biosynthesis has been studied extensively. The choline cytidylyltransferase regulates
phosphatidylcholine production, and recent advances in our understanding of the
