Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma represent the vast majority of the
malignant tumors. Identification of predisposing factors, intrinsic and extrinsic, can decrease
future tumor development. Early recognition, biopsy confirmation, and treatment selection
can reduce patient morbidity.
